1. General Provisions

This Privacy Policy describes how the Petblog mobile application (the "App"), provided by Konstantin Kuznetcov ("we", "us"), collects and uses data.

By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

2. Data We Collect

Information you provide:

• Name
• Email address
• Country of residence

User content:

• Pet photos
• Pet information
• Notes, reminders, and other information added by the user
• Documents uploaded by the user

Automatically collected data:

• Usage data (via Firebase Analytics)
• Device information (device type, OS version, language, etc.)
• Local device identifiers (as part of Firebase operation)

Push notifications:

If you consent to push notifications, we store your device token for delivery purposes. You can withdraw this consent at any time in your device settings (Settings → Notifications → Petblog).

Local storage:

The App may use local device storage (similar to cookies) to store user preferences and session data. This data is not shared with third parties.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract — processing data necessary for registration and operation of the App (name, email, user content).
• Legitimate interest — usage analytics to improve the quality of the service (Firebase Analytics).
• Consent — push notifications (you may withdraw consent at any time).

If you are a resident of the European Union, your data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. How We Use Data

We use data to:

• provide and operate the App;
• authenticate users;
• store and display user content;
• improve the App and analyze usage;
• send push notifications (with your consent);
• communicate with users when necessary.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

Data may be shared with the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase (Google LLC, USA) — analytics, infrastructure, and push notifications. Privacy policy.

As Google Firebase is a US-based company, your data may be transferred to and processed on servers in the United States. Such transfers are carried out under Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, ensuring an adequate level of data protection in accordance with GDPR requirements.

6. Data Retention and Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Retention periods:

• Account data and user content are retained for as long as the account is active, or until a deletion request is received.
• After confirmed account deletion, data is removed within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
• Firebase analytics data is retained in accordance with Google's data retention policy (by default, up to 14 months).

7. User Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — request information about what data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to restriction of processing — request that processing of your data be limited in certain circumstances.
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent to data processing at any time (e.g., disable push notifications in device settings).
• Right to object — object to processing of your data based on legitimate interest.

If you are an EU resident and believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority.

8. Account Deletion and Data Management

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting: support@petblog.app

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and delete the data within 30 days.

9. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that may pose a risk to the rights and freedoms of users, we commit to:

• notify the relevant supervisory authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach (in accordance with GDPR requirements);
• notify affected users within a reasonable timeframe via email or an in-app notification.

10. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.

If we become aware that data of a child under 13 has been collected without appropriate parental or guardian consent, we will delete it immediately. Please notify us at support@petblog.app.

11. Changes to Policy

We may update this Policy. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification or by email.

12. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. With respect to processing data of users from the European Union, the provisions of the GDPR also apply.
